Brooke Richey is an indie-rock artist, film composer, social anthropologist and business owner. She is driven to inspire and nurture safe spaces of healing and wholeness, through her music and work endeavors. She holds a Master of Music in Film Scoring from Seattle Film Institute and a BA in Music Composition with a Minor in Worship Arts from Seattle Pacific University.
A PNW native, Brooke began her performance career at age 12, after she was singled out by her choir and band directors, having been recognized by them as a multi-instrumentalist. Playing trumpet in jazz band and having a great ear for harmonies in choir put her on the spotlight as a solo vocalist with a big band setup singing the tune, "Tangerine" to her middle school peers and families.
Brooke will be performing works her second Black Bird Collective album, GET OUT OF MY WAY which is about stepping into one’s power and owning their voice: the organ of their soul. She will also be performing works from her debut album, False Identities, which navigates the emotions of heartbreak and fighting through confusion.
